Until recently this was the only Indian Restaurant in the village. But it now has a more trendy (and expensive!) rival called Friends. Both these restaurants are in buildings that used to be pubs. The Bishops Waltham Tandoori used to be the Mafeking Hero, here are a couple of old photos, hasn't changed too much.

St Peter's Street
Looking up St Peter's Street towards the church. This is a very pretty
street with some lovely houses and also the Bunch of Grapes pub that I must
go in at some point.

The last house on the right before the church gates used to be a girls
school and was supposedly closed down after a French Napoleonic prisoner of
war threw over a love letter to one of the girls!! A large scandal in the 1800s!

Great War monument in St Peter's Church
Beautiful coloured sky that day. For more info on the monument:

I am not the best photographer and am hoping this blog will help me
understand how to take better photos - probably going to be trial and error.
I only have a point and shoot camera, but it's new and I love it - Fuji EXR
200.

St Peter's Church Bishops Waltham
Pretty Norman church in Bishops Waltham. Went here once for a service but
got a bit frightened as I don't know what you're supposed to do during
communion (I thought that was only for Catholics?!). Felt like a heathen
staying in my seat whilst everyone else got up! Possibly a bit too high
church for me.
